Caney Fork Truss Bridge

Located in White County near the Van Buren County line, this one lane Pratt truss bridge is one of the very few surviving on local roads in the state of Tennessee. Unfortunately, the state has been extremely aggressive at removing the remaining old trusses, and I was lucky to find this bridge that I first discovered by accident in 1997 was still standing. Here, I will show you photos of this soon-to-be-lost treasure over the eerily still waters of the Caney Fork River. All photos taken May 29, 2006.
